Saturday morning at the market in Masham in the glorious Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale AONB

It seemed an awful long time since I was last in Masham this Saturday. Geoff and I had gone down to Masham to be with Joanne and the grandchildren in our little ‘bubble’ and Joanne and I decided to have a wander up into town to have a look at the market

Thorpe Perrow Arboretum near Bedale in Lower Wensleydale

Over thirty years ago would be the is first time I visited the Arboretum at Thorpe Perrow, in my ignorance I didn’t even know what an arboretum was! It was a WI trip, an evening event, a summer evening I suppose, but remember it was cold and not at all sunny but was still very impressed with what I saw even then.

When all this is over!

Joanne and I were talking the other day of the things we were missing doing whilst we’re in lockdown and everything closed but also of things that we hadn’t done for a while here in the glorious Yorkshire Dales.

Staying indoors and still having fun!

We’re into our third week now of lockdown, we're all in this together and thinking of things to pass the time fruitfully can be a bit challenging some days. Are we all getting a little bored with the usual puzzles?

My back has gone into spasm so no walking!

Just over a month ago a very silly thing happened, I was bending down to pick up the vacuum cleaner and ping my back goes into spasm, didn’t even reach the thing in question! Anyone who has experienced this, and I think I’m one of many, will understand the excruciating pain and total immobility, for a while at least!
