When all this is over!

Share

Joanne and I were talking the other day of the things we were missing doing whilst we’re in lockdown and everything closed but also of things that we hadn’t done for a while here in the glorious Yorkshire Dales. I suppose sometimes living here we don’t realise just how much there is on our doorstep and that we really should make more of an effort to visit all the wonderful attractions there are here.

Wonderful villages and towns to explore, castles, stately homes, gorgeous gardens, churches, follies, festivals, concerts, horse racing, a theme park, museums, cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlours, pubs, waterfalls (there are many!) crafts, art, heritage railway, whatever type of shopping takes your fancy, dare I say The Little White Bus, the Georgian Theatre, cycling and for me my beloved walks that I spend hours doing. Have I missed anything? Probably!

Follow these links to our Country Hideaways blog page, for ‘Things to do’ and you’ll find loads of ideas to fill your days whilst you’re here on holiday. For walks, short, long, ‘middlin’ in length whatever you like ‘Walking in the Dales’. To refine to a smaller area use the 'Search' as well.

We do hope we can soon start to welcome back here to this wonderful part of the world, we are missing you all!
