Alternatively, if you prefer call 01969 663559 for friendly advice, check availability or to reserve your chosen cottage with Nadine or Joanne and pay immediately by debit or credit card.
On receipt of your payment we will send you confirmation of the booking showing the remaining balance owing, and a receipt for your deposit. The balance is due four weeks prior to the date of arrival. If the booking is taken within four weeks of arrival then full payment must be made at the time of booking. Please carefully read through our Booking Conditions, detailed below, paying particular attention to number 7 which outlines the conditions and procedure in the unfortunate event of holiday cancellation. For peace of mind we strongly advise you to arrange suitable cover.
1. Country Hideaways acts entirely as a booking agency on behalf of the property Owner. Bookings made through the website are provisional until a holiday confirmation has been issued. Once a holiday confirmation has been issued the contract is between the Holidaymaker and the Owner.
2. The Holidaymaker undertakes to keep the property and all furniture, fixtures and effects in or on the property in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday and also undertakes to leave the premises in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. All damages and breakages are the Holidaymakers responsibility and the costs of repair shall be refundable on demand.
3. For properties that accept pets, they are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture and are not to be left in the property unattended at any time. If pets are exercised within the boundary of the property, i.e. the garden, they must be on a lead at all times. The Holidaymaker will be responsible for removing all traces of pet occupation from both inside and outside of the property before final departure and any damage caused by pets are the Holidaymakers responsibility.
4. The number of persons using the holiday property is not to exceed the maximum number stated. A travel cot can be provided for children aged up to 24 months.
5. Country Hideaways cannot under any circumstances accept any liability for any loss of life, personal injury, sickness, loss, damage or accident to personal property howsoever caused which may be sustained during the holiday, to the Holidaymaker or any member of the party or invited guest.
6. A £9.00 booking fee plus £90.00 deposit per property per week or short break shall be payable to Country Hideaways. The balance shall be payable 1 month before the commencement of the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than 1 month from the commencement date then the full holiday payment shall be made to Country Hideaways.

7. Once a booking is confirmed the Holidaymaker is liable for the full balance of the rent for a property. Country Hideaways must be notified immediately in writing of any cancellation and will endeavour to re-let the property for the period. If successful all monies paid less the deposit and booking fee will be refunded. In case of unforeseen circumstances, the Holidaymaker is strongly advised to arrange suitable cover. Country Hideaways are able to offer refund protection through our partnership with XCover. This refund protection allows you to apply for a refund on your booking should you, or anyone in your party, be unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. Full details of the terms and conditions of this policy can be found here.
8. Information on properties and pricing has been compiled as accurately as possible at the time of going to press. Owners may alter or withdraw their property for reasons beyond our control and for which we accept no responsibility. In the event of the property being withdrawn by the Owners Country Hideaways will arrange alternative holiday accommodation of comparable type if available, or issue a full refund of monies paid.
9. In the event of unforeseen circumstances where the property has to be withdrawn Country Hideaways will arrange to transfer the holiday to a suitable future date where possible or issue a full refund of monies paid.
10. Country Hideaways reserve the right to refuse any booking and return any money accompanying it.
11. The Owner and his representatives are to be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time.
12. Electric vehicle charging is only permitted at The Stable in Newbiggin via the dedicated EV charging point, charges apply. The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted under the insurance cover at any of our other properties, however details of the nearest electric vehicle charging point will be included in your ‘Information for your holiday’ document once you have made your booking. If you require details of the nearest point before making your booking please contact us via email info@countryhideaways.co.uk or call 01969 663559.
13. If the Holidaymaker is not satisfied with the accommodation offered the Owner/Caretaker should be contacted immediately in an attempt to resolve the problem. Should that fail then the matter should be reported to Country Hideaways who will discuss the problem with the Owner. If after this the matter is still unresolved the complaint should be put in writing to us within 7 days of the completion of the holiday. Complaints will only be considered if first reported during the occupancy of the holiday property.
