Circular walk from Redmire in Wensleydale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales
A lovely circular walk from Redmire village green with wonderful views across to Penhill and Wensleydale, into Walden and Bishopdale, also Bolton Castle on returning to Redmire. About four and half miles the perfect walk for a morning or afternoon.
West Burton, Thoralby, Bishopdale, Aysgarth and home in a circular manner
If you're looking for a longer walk, then set off from West Burton, about nine and a half miles, or a shorter one, set off from Thoralby. Please do make sure you plan your route on the map before hand and wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Always take a drink and a snack, if not lunch, with you.
Cover Bridge, East Witton, Low Ellingstring, Jervaulx Abbey in a circular manner!
This was a walk made of a few walks already done but put together in a different way and was just lovely. About eleven miles but after the first pull up hill all easy going. As always please do check the route on your map before you set off and wear appropriate clothing and footwear not forgetting to take plenty to drink and snacks if not taking a picnic.

Walking from West Burton in Wensleydale in a circular manner, a short walk of about 4 miles
I suppose I have done this walk so many times I’ve never thought to relay it here but doing the route the other day felt it was just too good for anyone to miss. Easy going apart from a couple short ascents, lovely views so take your camera, along with your map of course if you’re not sure of the route.
Whernside, the highest of the Three Peaks, by the Ribblehead Viaduct
Our little walking group thought it was time to walk Whernside again, we’ve been trying for a few weeks now but happenings in life haven’t allowed us, we’d also read that a new path had been laid on the west side and were interested to try it out. Friday was our day and so off we went to Ribblehead.

Carperby is a pretty, linear village, stretching over half a mile, with a mix of traditional terraced and detached houses intermittently embracing the minor road as it passes between Askrigg and Redmire.
Penhill, in glorious Wensleydale, twice!!
