What’s going on in the Yorkshire Dales?

Share

There just seems to be so much happening in the glorious Yorkshire Dales at the moment that it’s difficult to fit everything in or even to go to in some cases. Open Studios, concerts galore in our wonderful churches, agricultural shows, open gardens, art and craft events, plus much that we have missed or not mentioned here. Joanne and I went to Crafted by Hand held in Masham Town Hall in Masham this last Sunday, it was a two day event but Sunday was the best day for us.

So many beautiful things on display by local people and those a little further afield, so much temptation, very difficult not to come out without a purchase! Painters, potters, felt working, woodworkers, blacksmiths, jewellery makers and more. It was very interesting talking to the artisans too who are all, unsurprisingly, so passionate about their work. It will be taking place again next year I’m sure so make a date!

If you need somewhere to stay close by you know where to look, we have several lovely cottages in Masham and surrounding area, from the smallest to sleep two to Badger’s Holt to sleep six people or call Nadine and Joanne on 01969 663559 for friendly help and advice.
