When considering the glorious Yorkshire Dales I’m always amazed at what there can be to delight us all, apart from over 1500 miles of footpaths to explore and enjoy, wonderful views at every corner, there are interesting little towns and villages, stately homes, castles, great restaurants and cafes and so it goes on.
Just a little taster of what is here you’ll find below and lots more ideas on this blog, just click on this link to make a start.
The Forbidden Corner in Coverdale which is a unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises at Tupgill Park near Middleham, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Perfect for adventurers and those young at heart!
From 28 March – 10 April at Bolton Castle in Wensleydale there is an Easter Trail. Time to learn some fun facts about Easter by taking part in a find and seek castle trail, ending with a chocolate reward and some Maundy money as a token.
Thorpe Perrow Arboretum and Bird of Prey and Mammal Centre near Bedale is a place to enjoy any time of year but in the spring it has one of the finest collections of naturalised daffodils in the North of England, along with carpets of bluebells, snowdrops and crocuses. There is also an Easter Trail throughout the school holidays which is fun for everyone.
Do come and stay in one of our beautiful Country Hideaways holiday cottages and enjoy the dales to the full. Call me, Nadine, or my daughter Joanne, on 01969 663559 for friendly help and advice or, of course, do book online if you prefer.
As always, Joanne and I look forward to hearing from you!
