West Witton in glorious Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales
West Witton is a linear village perched on the lower slopes of Penhill in Wensleydale, a settlement known to have been here since Anglo Saxon times. Stone cottages, Georgian houses, a hint of Victorian, new builds all add to the mix of this vibrant little village with its thriving community.
My back has gone into spasm so no walking!

Anyone who has experienced this, and I think I’m one of many, will understand the excruciating pain and total immobility, for a while at least!
Penhill, in glorious Wensleydale, twice!!
We’re off to scale the heights of Snowdon next week and so with a mind that we should be upping our training thought we should walk up Penhill, not just once but twice! If you’re up for a bit of a challenge, want to keep it local and experience the most fantastic views then read further.

Last of the sun after another glorious winters day……
Last of the winter sun for today in the Yorkshire Dales looking towards Thupton Gill in Walden from Bishopdale, after a sky high and blue. Still, quiet and calm and bit warmer than yesterday but always glorious!
