Stunningly sparkling………….!

Share

Another glorious autumn morning, first frost last night just melting away in the low sun. One of my favourite walks through the fields around West Burton, start at the waterfall and follow the footpath to Rookwith Bridge but once there you can walk a little further to Cote Bridge and back to West Burton, just takes about three quarters of an hour, depending an how many stops to admire the views.

Of course, there are many walks from West Burton which can take all day if you wish. Always remember take a good map, even if you have a Smart phone, most of our cottages will have an Ordnance Survey map of their local area. From the waterfall go up the Barrack Wood and turn east through the wood and carry on to Berry's Farm Shop for lunch, always good food, and walk back along Bishopdale Beck, or venture up to Aysgarth Falls if you wish and return via Thieves Gill.
