Spring Harrogate Flower Show

The wonderful Spring Harrogate Flower Show will be held this year from 20 until 23 April 2023 in the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate. Really an event not to be missed and if you book your tickets before Tuesday 4 April will can save £3.50 per ticket. Parking is free and there are plenty of places to eat and drink or you take a picnic!

A riot of colour but also a wealth of information for experienced gardens and those just dabbling. Come and be totally inspired with talks, demonstrations, show gardens, a shopping paradise for the gardener and exhibitions by florists and flower arrangers from round the country.

I was interested to learn that this event first originated in 1920 and held in the Old Winter Gardens in Harrogate staged by the North of England Horticultural Society which was first established in 1911 with the idea to promote horticulture in the north of England. A success from the start, the show moved to the Valley Gardens in Harrogate in 1934 and then with the continuing success of the event, relocated to the Great Yorkshire Showground in 1995 and still happy to be there to this day.

Now the Autumn Flower Show is held at Newby Hall so offering a day of plants and flowers along with a chance to explore this wonderful stately home along with its own magnificent gardens. 15 until 17 November 2023.

All our cottages are well within striking distance of Harrogate and Newby Hall. Come and join us to enjoy these two wonderful events. Call me Nadine or my daughter Joanne on 01969 663559 to book over the telephone and please do book online if you prefer.

Hear from you quite soon.
