Our cottages in Walden dale in the Yorkshire Dales

Share

For the last couple of weeks Joanne and I have been visiting the cottages for their annual inspection by the VisitEngland assessor. Not all cottages are inspected every year but this year first on the list was Grange House and Hill Top Cottage in Walden. Two absolutely beautiful cottages, both Four Star with a Gold Award and again they achieved this with flying colours.

Grange House is a spacious house to sleep seven people very comfortably with a double bedroom and shower downstairs along with three bedrooms upstairs, an ensuite and a house bathroom, well equipped dining/kitchen, delightful lounge with wood burning stove and separate dining room. Gardens front and back and the large garden to the side of the house has a pond.

Hill Top Cottage is equally lovely and sleeps four, again very well equipped, as you would except with the rating, two bedrooms, a shower room, terrific kitchen and stylish lounge with wood burning stove. Lots of space outside to spread out with a little flagged patio at the front to soak in the sun and the sensational view.

Really get away from it all, literally, at these two cottages. Peace reigns entirely in Walden. No through traffic, in fact barely any traffic at all, wonderful views in every direction but also a great base to explore the Yorkshire Dales if you feel like venturing out of the dale.

As always we look forward to welcoming you to our cottages. For friendly help and advice do call me, Nadine or Joanne, my daughter on 01969 663559 or book online if you wish.
