Langstrothdale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales
For a pleasant morning or afternoon walk take this 2 mile walk from Yockenthwaite Bridge; the full route map is available to download from the National Trust or in OS map OL30. The route will take you towards Beckermonds by the river side in the valley. Along the way you’ll take in a lime kiln, and a stone circle that’s thought to have been the base of a bronze age burial mound or ritual site. Langstrothdale is beautiful in the spring, when bird’s eye primrose grows in abundance and is famous for bare rocks pools in the River Wharfe running along the roadside, always great for a picnic.
