Elizabeth Guy – Humble Pie Cookery Kitchen in Hawes

Share

Some of you will know who I’m talking about and perhaps some may not but I wanted just to say a little bit about Elizabeth Guy Fawcett. Elizabeth opened Humble Pie in Askrigg way back in 1999, which she finds quite unbelieveable, but closed after a good few years of very hard work.  Then she reopened with her daughter Betty in 2017 to the delight of many of us and they worked together for two and a half years until October 2019.  Now though, never tiring of her beloved cooking, Elizabeth has opened Humble Pie Cookery Kitchen within Bear Cottage Interiors in Hawes in Upper Wensleydale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales where she works with small groups, maximum of six, creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in her kitchen where you come away with a real sense of achievement with food that she hopes you will replicate at home for years to come.

Alas though due to Covid-19 and lockdown she can no longer hold her classes but instead, ever enterprising, lets us eve drop and watch her cooking, please follow the link to her facebook page to enjoy and hopefully be inspired. There are recipes for children too!
