Walking on a peaceful late summer Sunday morning in Walden, a beautiful little dale that runs down to West Burton in the glorious Yorkshire Dales. A reminder, if I ever needed one, to know how very lucky I am to be alive and to live in this wondrous part of the world.

Cauldron Falls after the rain in West Burton, Wensleydale

A bit of rain on Saturday brought more water down the falls on Sunday morning, how very, very pretty to behold. Oh what it is to live in Yorkshire Dales, come and join us, book a holiday, come just for the day even.........!

Just stunning! What more can one say? Breathtaking scenery looking towards Hawes across Wensleydale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales. Clearing skies, calm and fine, perfect day for walking the hills. A sprinkling of snow above Hawes so warm clothing needed.............

Cauldron Falls in pretty village of West Burton, Wensleydale

Peaty coloured water in the Cauldron Falls after recent rains. The waterfall is by no means in full flow though, should have come up yesterday with my camera! Probably be another opportunity though as the year goes along......................

The salmon are back…………!

A great stirring of excitement this last week in Walden Beck at West Burton in the glorious Yorkshire Dales, the salmon were forging their way up stream to spawn! Word goes around and we're their to witness this event
