Santa calls on 1 December at 12 noon and there after during the afternoon and lots of dates in December until Christmas Eve, so miss him!
For those into gin, go along on 7 December at 7.30pm for an exclusive evening with Taplin and Mageean, a launch party for their new gin distillery based in Leyburn – Taplin & Mageean Ltd! Tickets in advance please. If you would like to travel to and from the event on the train the train will be leaving Leeming Bar station at 6.30 pm and Bedale at 6.40pm.
Two very special snow sisters are coming to the Wensleydale Railway this winter! Come for an epic journey into the kingdom of Wensleydale and meet the ice royalty yourself! Begin your festive journey in our very own North Pole at Leeming Bar station, where you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie (hot chocolate and Christmas cookies for the kids) and explore our mini Christmas market while you wait to be called for your Snow Sister Special service. Once on-board the sisters and their helpers will visit each child and ensure that they note down exactly what they would like for Christmas as well as giving them a very special gift to take home and singing some well-known tunes.
On 26 December AJ Productions brings you the most magical pantomime of all – Cinderella! This year proves to be bigger and more spectacular than ever in The classic rags to riches tale. Cinderella will be transformed into a breath-taking family extravaganza with glittering sets, gorgeous costumes, big song and dance numbers, and some surprises along the way.To make your day even more spectacular why not take the train from Leeming Bar/Bedale to Leyburn and travel to and from the pantomime in style! Plus train ticket holders will get the opportunity to have a VIP meet and greet with the characters before the show begins.
