The Great Yorkshire Show has been held in Harrogate annually since 1838 making this year’s the 160th. No wonder it’s such a popular and long standing event with over 1200 trade stands and 2000 competitions, enough to keep anyone amused for three days or more! The finest livestock are brought here to be judged including cattle, sheep, pigs and pigeons. If you’re into tractors and agricultural machinery you won’t be disappointed, this is where the latest state of the are machinery is showcased and displayed.
It’s not all about farming though, there’s music, entertainment, cookery demonstrations, shopping and a fashion show! Breath taking performances are promised in the main ring, with a finale of show jumping classes, The Cock of the North competition.
Truly a wonderful day out, or two or three even, with entertainment to bewitch everyone in the family. Easily accessible by road or public transport. If coming by road follow the designated signs to the show ground. To find out all you need to know visit The Great Yorkshire Show
