Again an amazing programme to enjoy for fifteen exciting days in May and early June not only in Swaledale but Wensleydale too, Richmond Georgian Theatre, local churches and other local venues and villages.

Some of the highlights include the legendary flamenco guitarist PACO PEÑA will play solo in Grinton Church. The phenomenal cellist SHEKU KANNEH-MASON will perform chamber music with his talented siblings and friends from the Royal Academy of Music. The great violinist TASMIN LITTLE will perform a solo recital and give a masterclass.

The ARMONICO CONSORT will perform Purcell’s beautiful Dido and Aeneas and KATHRYN TICKELL will perform with her new all-star band. A stellar line-up also features pianist LAUREN ZHANG – the reigning BBC Young Musician of the Year, and KABANTU – the electrifying world-music quintet!

The 2019 Festival also contains family events, workshops, a masterclass, poetry readings, free concerts in care homes, a fell run, and guided walks in the stunning Dales landscape.

Mark the end of January on your calendar for when the full programme is released and to book your tickets. Visit Swaledale Festival for full details.
