We’re all getting very excited about the next annual event coming up in Leyburn, Wensleydale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales on 21 and 22 July 2018 which is the Leyburn 1940’s Weekend! Held in the market place, Thornborough Hall and throughout the town, there’ll be fun, laughter, music, singing, dancing, stalls, military vehicles, vintage cars, farm machinery. This annual event, now in its 11th year, is not only a great day out but educational too and an important reminder of what happened in late 30’s and 40’s.

The shops too will be decked out in memorabilia, a vintage fair will be held in Thornborough Hall, a vintage bus will be doing tours of the town. Find out more at Leyburn 1940’s Weekend

Come and enjoy the weekend as yourself, in allied forces uniform or the fabulous 40’s fashions!

Plenty of parking at Tennant’s Auction Rooms or The Auction Mart, cost £5.00 per vehicle for the day and vintage shuttle bus, free, will be taking you into the town if you should wish.
