Great things are going to be happening in the glorious Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale AONB this July.
Perhaps the largest event will be The Great Yorkshire Show, 9, 10 and 11 July, an iconic three-day event and one of the biggest agricultural events in the English calendar. Every year, more than 130,000 visitors and over 8,500 animals converge on the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate to compete, socialise and celebrate. This will be the 161st Great Yorkshire Show, showcasing the best of British farming, food and the countryside as well as first class entertainment.
What about the Sausage and Beer Festival? Now in its fifth year the Camp Hill Sausage & Beer Festival is back on the 19 and 20 July. Over 30 different types of ales from the local area and beyond, a sausage-tasting competition like no other – who will be crowned Yorkshire's Best Sausage? Live music from a host of incredible musicians and acts, a German Bierkeller venue serving delicious lagers to an Oompah soundtrack, street food galore at The Market (with plenty of sausages) and much more!
Into ABBA? Then come along to Thorpe Perrow on 20 July to see the fantastic ABBA Sensation who are back with the band’s biggest and best hits. Gates open at 7.30pm, band 8.30pm till 11pm.
20 and 21 July will see the glorious 54th Masham Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally. Enjoy a great value family day out with spectacular steam engines and fair organs, vintage cars and tractors. Arts and crafts and many stalls for you to browse also.
Also on 20 and 21 July is Leyburn 40’s Weekend, this popular event in Leyburn’s Events and Festival calendar continues to grow!
