Lion Cottage in Bainbridge in Wensleydale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales now has a beautiful new bathroom. With a large separate shower and roll top bath you’ll be able to luxuriate however you please after a day in the fresh air. Bainbridge boasts an excellent butchers, a pub and Hazels Roost café with scones and homemade cakes you won’t be able to resist! Yorebridge House for that extra special meal, try Simonstone Hall in Simonstone and Stone House Hotel, visit Raydale preserves in Stalling Busk. Tuesday in Hawes you’ll find the weekly market but there are independently owned shops to browse, The Wensleydale Creamery, Dales Countryside Museum, The Ropemakers all to visit. Find pubs, restaurants, cafes, cobbled streets and little alleyways to explore. Visit Leyburn a little further afield, the villages of Askrigg, West Burton, Aysgarth, Hardrow, to name but a few, are all a short drive away and well worth exploring.
