Description

Karnten Cottage is a delightful spacious property tucked away in a mews off the Main Street in Askrigg. The mews is home to a row of three traditional, stoneworked terraced houses, the end terrace is Karnten Cottage. The elevated position offers views from the bedrooms over the rooftops to the magnificence of Addlebrough and Wensleydale. Karnten Cottage has been tastefully decorated and furnished to provide every comfort and convenience you should need for your stay.

At the front of the cottage a stone flagged patio provides a place to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of the dales countryside. Parking for one car and EV charger are available here too. The large entrance hallway with bench and coat hooks leads to an open plan dining and living area complete with comfy sofas and multi-fuel stove for enjoyable evenings in. Off the lounge is a well-equipped Shaker style kitchen with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. A stairway from the lounge leads to a landing that serves a twin bedroom with pretty cream bedframes, a king-size bedroom with Victorian style bedstead and en-suite shower room, and a stylish house bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and toilet.

The innovative use of colour along with stripped pine doors, comfortable furnishings, pretty drapes and tasteful artwork provide comfortable accommodation of a very high standard. Karnten Cottage is a moments walk from the village centre where you will find pubs, shop and delicatessen.
