Christmas is nearly here!

Won’t be long now to the Big Day, come and join us here if you haven’t booked one of our holiday cottages already and join in the fun with everyone else in the Dales to celebrate this special time of year. Search for availability or call us on 01969 663559 for friendly help and advice.

Enjoy a trip to Harrogate to the Royal Hall on Christmas Eve for the Mayor’s Carol Concert. Ripon Cathedral have their Christmas Family Nativity on 24 December, in the afternoon it’s the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, and Midnight Mass from 11.30pm. RHS Harlow Carr Gardens, also in Harrogate, have a festive Christmas Trail with clues around the garden. Best to wrap warm for this one! Before lunch on Christmas Day there’s Holy Communion at St Andrew’s Church in Aysgarth. Boxing Day you’ll find the time honoured tradition of the Knaresborough Tug O’War with teams pulling against each other from opposite banks of the River Nidd, sounds a bit scary to me! These are to name but a few events over Christmas.

Or just get away from it all and walk the hills and vales, call in at a local hostelry, explore tiny villages and visit waterfalls. It’s all here waiting just for you!
