Bianco Ristorante and Northallerton

Bianco Ristorante, Northallerton

I must say we often seem to go down to Northallerton and yet there are still surprises to find even after so many years of visiting. It was nearing lunchtime so we thought we would try Bianco Ristorante, an Italian restaurant, at the south end, which has been there since Christmas 2020, there is also a sister restaurant in Thirsk which we have yet to try.

We were only looking for lunch but what a very pleasant occasion it was, lovely food, very attentive service, nothing was too much trouble and the quiet buzz of people enjoying their food surrounded us. To quote from their website ‘A family run business, Bianco Ristorante believes the secret to their success is the good food and quality ingredients, at great prices.’ So agree with this statement. There are also photos of famous Italian landmarks on display of which, not boasting, but I found I had been to most!

Replete we ventured out onto the High Street to have a stroll, as you do, but ended up going down Zetland Street for a ‘cuppa’. There’s an ice cream parlour down there and a Café and Pub with court yard at the front to people watch in the sun. Opposite I spied a vintage shop, what a treasure trove to browse around. Came out with a very pretty necklace for £1.00 so very satisfied!

Zetland Street is not the only interesting street in Northallerton so do visit and have a wander sometime.
