For whatever reason, I know not why, I thought I would have a look and see when the first blog was entered onto this site and lo and behold it was exactly ten years ago, 9th July 2014 to be precise! How very strange but these things happen. Looking at the few lines that were written there I do hope I’ve fulfilled the mission, the purpose of giving information about what there is here in the glorious Yorkshire Dales.
Plenty of walking has been done and what a pleasure that has been and still is and always finding new footpaths to explore. Just love visiting our local towns and villages but trying to fit in going to stately homes, castles etc has been more of a challenge and I know there haven’t been so many visits to those but a mention has been made for most. I hope you as our treasured holidaymakers have enjoyed coming to this wonderful part of the world and I know a lot of you return year after year. I hope too that you have found the information within these pages worthwhile reading and helpful. I have enjoyed every minute of writing to you all most weeks and of course will go on while ever these short passages are needed.
