Redmire Village Pub in Wensleydale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales has not long been known as this and was previously called The Bolton Arms. It’s always been a venue where you could guarantee a warm welcome, good ale etc and good food and now is no exception. The pub was first opened in the 1750’s and I suppose has changed over the years and not least now having a completely new name. We’d heard it was still a place to go and enjoy so we ventured for lunch one day. Again that warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, the fire was blazing and it was warm and cosy on a somewhat cold day.
To quote from their website ‘Experience the best of local cask ales from Wensleydale Brewery, Yorkshire Dales Brewing, Black Sheep, Pennine Brewery and Theaskton Brewery, along with Inches Cider, Mirra Moretti, Cruzcampo and Guinness on tap. Our carefully curated wine selection from Yorkshire Vintners and a range of spirits are also available. Enjoy the very best of food from the Dales in our casual restaurant, with food curated from our Local Food Heroes partners.’ What more could you wish for? Combine one of the walks mentioned on our Blog and finish off at the pub or take a break from your walk and call in!
