Don't forget to visit the fantastic Dales Food and Drink Festival held at the beginning of May in Leyburn next to Tennants Auction House. Weaving together the three fundamental elements that make the Dales Festival of Food and Drink a success – Food, Family and Fun.
Visitors will find something for everyone from the best locally sourced organic meats to award-winning beers within the festival's own Drinks Marquee and 'Beer Festival'. The Farming for Food features a livestock area with demonstrations and talks about life in the Dales.
To entertain the DFFD brings together music from local brass bands, live cookery demonstrations from the region's top chefs and a 'Speakers Corner' featuring established authors and speakers, plus a range of rides and entertainments for children and young people.
Free car parking. Charges: Adult £8 on day ticket. £14 three day ticket. Child free if under 16 and accompanied by an adult. Booking not required. Dogs welcome.
