Description and Location
This beautiful cottage is just off the small village green in Nosterfield and is at the end of a stone built terrace which includes the Freemasons Arms.
Access is through a gate in the fence to a private flagged area with an external timber staircase that leads to a balcony, outdoor table and chairs and the cottage door. Entry is to a spacious open plan room with lounge, fitted kitchen and dining area with the lounge separated by an island unit. The ceiling is lofted into the roof-space exposing the original beams, queen posts and rafters and has two roof lights which supplement the windows to give a lovely natural light to the room.
A stairway descends from the lounge to a short landing with access to two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with a zip and link king-size bed that can be separated into two 2'6 single beds suitable for children. Both bedrooms have contrasting feature walls and exposed beams in the ceilings. Between the two rooms is a fully tiled wet room with shower, washbasin and toilet.
Nosters Cottage is a very recent conversion with deliberate choice of the living accommodation on the first floor to take advantage of the views available. A renovation that is a mix of modernist amid original features with stylish, high quality furnishings, fittings and fine artworks brought together to provide a pleasurable air for easy relaxation.
A cottage with all the technology of modern life and If you can't bear to lose touch with the outside world, even on holiday then this is the 'smart' place for you with televisions in the lounge and bedrooms and a Bluetooth mirror in the shower room.
The village straddles the B6267 just 4 miles east of Masham but the bulk of the houses are to the south of the road where there is a small, triangular village green with a children’s playground which is surrounded by some of the oldest and newest dwellings. Several of the buildings in the village including the pub’ are designated as Grade II Listed.
