Cottage

Description

This small single storey 'bijou' cottage stands on the southern side of the pleasant garden of Long Farthings House and overlooks a rockery and small orchard with views to open fields and the slopes of stately Penhill and beyond.

In a secluded position on the edge of the village the cottage, which was built only 50 years ago, has been carefully renovated to make interesting and effective use of its small dimensions.

Penny Farthings has a sitting room with dining alcove and a well fitted kitchen area. The double bedroom has a king size bed and small en-suite shower room with washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail.

The enclosed garden provides a sheltered area for soaking up the unique Yorkshire Dales air and beautiful views.

Comfortable furnishings and tasteful decoration provide a high standard of accommodation.

We chose Penny Farthings because it was a detached cottage and dog friendly. The cottage is well equipped, cleanliness excellent and has a pretty garden and view. Good value for money and yes we would like to come again.
