Just haven’t been able to catch up this month with all the happenings in the glorious Yorkshire Dales and a little further afield this month. The Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate; Masham Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally; Leyburn 1940’s Weekend all of which will need little introduction. We enjoyed a wonderful concert in Askrigg church by the Wensleydale Chorus singing Mozart’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Gloria; there were Open Gardens galore, we had a lovely, lovely day strolling round Newbiggin in Bishopdale.

Motoring enthusiasts were exhausted but happy after gazing upon 1,400 classic cars at Newby Hall near Ripon, there was also the Fireworks Championships where all the audience voted for the best display, take a picnic, it’s a fantastic evening. To finish off the month, today is the Herriot 14K Run organised by The Rotary Club of Wensleydale, a 14K run over moorland tracks and paths near Castle Bolton in Wensleydale in aid of Rotary charities, 2017 will be the 13th year of the race.

These are just a flavour of what’s been going on, as I said, difficult to keep up with everything, watch out for next year’s dates and book your holiday with us to enjoy these wonderful events to the full.
