I seem to have posted a few poems this year, perhaps it’s the times we are living in but 2021 will be better! These particular few days in December are always important to the Bell household as we know we are now on the way back to spring and longer days.

Winter has its charm like any other season but this last week or so seem to have been particularly grey and rather wet and the ground is saturated. Where did all the snow go or is there still time? Maybe the weather will turn in January and we’ll get those amazing crisp, whispy days, just great for walking and exploring.

From Darkness To Light

At the Solstice, the darkness of winter exerts its power and stakes its claim as the longest night of the year.

Yet, in the next breath, the darkness turns and starts a steady march to the shortest night of the year in summer.

Cycles of our lives. Our days. Our moments.

Hold on to the light. Spring is coming.

May your heart shine bright with peace and joy even in the darkness.

May your Winter Solstice be filled with expanding light, both within and without.
