Don’t really know where to start with the Knaresborough Festival, there’s so much going on, 10 full days and evenings of music, street entertainment, spoken word, activities, theatre and dance and events. A lot of the events are free, some you need to book but all information can be found on www.feva.info. Friday kicks off with Bob’s Your Uncle in the Market Place at noon and throughout the afternoon with some riotously entertaining magic, great fun for all the family. In the evening the start of the three day Lions’ Beer Festival, Sounds Like Us at the Courtyard Bar and Grill, 8.45pm and Live Acoustic Music in the Royal Oak from 9pm. So it goes on......... English Civil War re-enactments in Knaresborough Castle grounds, Knaresborough Silver Band, Folk Dancers, there’s even an Urban Beach, have you ever heard of the likes before? Escape to the Allotments for a Bug Hunt, gardening tips from the allotment holders, cream teas and buy freshly grown bargains from the produce stalls. A Town Crier’s Competition? Now that should be fun! Puppet theatre, craft workshops, amazing things for the children to join in with and in amongst all this there is an Arts Trail around the town, phew!
See you there!
