The annual Swaledale Festival will take place again this year starting on Saturday 26 May and the last performances on Saturday 9 June. It’s always such a fabulous event. This year there will be young stars of the future alongside world-class instrumentalists, singers, actors, choirs, poets, films, exhibitions, talks, workshops, puppets, and a series of themed walks celebrating the magical landscape of the northern Dales. This year’s truly international line-up includes musicians and artists from Syria, Iran, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Ireland, France, Italy, Australia, India, China, South Africa, Senegal, Argentina, Venezuela, Canada and the USA, as well as a large number from the UK, and Yorkshire in particular.

All this takes place in charming ancient churches, village halls and heritage buildings in the stunning landscape of the North Yorkshire Dales.
