We needed a property to sleep 10 and The Rookery fitted the bill perfectly. Appearance, size, layout, woodburners, games room, kitchen - everything!Cleanliness excellent - my mother in law is a 'clean freak' and she didn't feel the need to clean anything! This was the best equipped self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in.

The surrounding countryside and the house. How quiet it was at nights! Very clean and tidy. We loved having the fires alight on arrival.

Location, facilities, ambience and the obvious desire of the owners to make us feel welcome. We have no comments other than to say that we, as a group and as individuals, have thoroughly enjoyed the week's stay.

The accommodation was perfect for our party but the appearance was the appeal. The grand entrance, the location and setting. The grounds, standard and the elegance. Actually felt very homely for such a big house. Almost felt like it had been the premier house and not the stable block.

A wonderful escape to the country. We all enjoyed it so much. I had a fantastic 60th birthday celebraton and we all enjoyed the outdoor area. We were completely at home as soon as we came through the gates. The wildlife around the grounds were very entertaining, our 2 year old granddaugther loved the rabbits and squirrel. Thanks to the owners and yourselves (Country Hideaways) for one of the best properties weve stayed in. Would like to return one day
