The Old Post Office, Carlton

Towards the west end of the village Mel Beck springs from a rocky outcrop to flow down over small cascades to pass through the village and join with Goodman’s Gill before racing to the river Cover. The Old Post Office stands close to Mel Beck and the path that winds beside it upwards, toward the moors and Penhill. 

Entry at the front is to a hallway and to the left is a spacious lounge with open stonework, exposed beam ceiling and stone fireplace with flagged hearth and wood burning stove. To the right is a dining room with decorative cornice and stone fireplace with flagged hearth and wood burning stove.
