Green Bank, West Burton

This elegant and distinctive house with its double bay windows and dressed stone mullions overlooks the large village green at West Burton. Access on foot from the green is through a small railed patio garden. The main door opens to a small vestibule which in turn leads to a large entrance hall that serves all the ground floor rooms.

To the front are two large lounges: both have open fire places with stylish hearths and surrounds, high ceilings and large panelled bay windows that view over the village Green. To the rear is a large, well equipped kitchen with dining area looking out onto the lawn and garden. An external door from the kitchen provides access to the garden, garage and fuel store.

Between the lounges and kitchen is a small cloakroom, with handbasin and toilet and a stairway with decorative balustrade rising to a landing that gives way to four bedrooms and a bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and toilet.

Two of the bedrooms have double beds, one with ensuite shower room. The third bedroom has twin beds and the fourth to the rear of the house has a set of pine bunk beds. The three larger bedrooms at the front view out over the green, distant rooftops and beyond into Wensleydale.

There is a large garden to the side and rear of the house that can be reached on foot from the green through a door in the garden wall or by car into the double gated driveway leading to the garage.

From the beautiful Victorian floor tiles in the entrance, the lofty ceilings and deep skirting boards there is an air of style and space throughout. The imaginative use of colour as a backcloth to the fine furnishing and fitments make this accommodation of a high standard.
