First Floor Apartment, West Burton

West Burton is recognised as one of the loveliest villages in the Yorkshire Dales and is unique with its large green, market cross, stocks and no through traffic. The old watermill occupies a superb location by Walden Beck, with nearby waterfalls, pools and a pack horse bridge.

The waterfall pools provide swimming on the doorstep and fishing is permitted in season to resident holidaymakers. Numerous footpaths cross the nearby dales and hills providing spectacular views and clean bracing air.

Three stone steps lead to the main door then two short flights of stairs rise to the first floor and the apartment entrance. A small hallway leads to a bedroom on the left with double bed, large wardrobe and antique pine furniture.

The bathroom is to the right of the hall with bath, shower, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail. Through the hall is a comfortable lounge and fully equipped kitchen which are separated by an island unit and overhead cupboards in Shaker style. The kitchen also has a dining area with pine table and chairs. Both the lounge and bedroom look out over the water.

The use of warm colours set against open stonework along with pine furniture and fitments provides cosy accommodation to a very high standard. The elevated views over Walden Beck, a tumbling hill stream, and the open area near the waterfall can be quite spectacular depending on the season and water flow.
