Bramble Lodge, Spennithorne

The cottage is situated in an acre of private grounds over looking the valley to Middleham, the distant fells of Coverdale and the lower reaches of Wensleydale.

Originally a stableblock and coach house, converted with care by the resident owners forming three sides of a large gravelled courtyard behind which there is a small pinewood, the other side being open to the valley and its views.

Entry is through a stone flagged hallway and up a short internal stairway to this first floor apartment. The entrance opens into a comfortable lounge/dining room with a well equipped kitchen area to one side.

A stone, arched window rises from floor level and this coupled with skylights gives the room an air of space and light. Off the lounge is a bedroom with a double bed and a shower room with shower, washbasin and toilet.

The ceilings in each room are pushed up into the roofspace to embrace the pine beams and purlins and with pine doors and fitments throughout give character and warmth to this cosy apartment.

Off road parking. Pub 400 yards, bus route through the village, shops Leyburn.

One medium size dog or two small dogs allowed, £10 each extra.

A heating supplement of £15.00 per week will be charged from 22 October 2011 until 31 March 2012 and from 3 November 2012 until 5 January 2013. For short winter breaks the charge will be £3.00 per night.
