Anna's Cottage, Preston under Scar

Anna's Cottage is a traditional dales cottage built in local stone and situated in a peaceful part of the village where just a few yards walk will open up the rich vista of Wensleydale and beyond.

The cottage is an integral part of the main house but self-contained with its own access. A flagged path leads over a small rockery garden with rustic bench to the entrance which opens to a hallway with space for boots and coats.

Off the hallway is a cosy lounge with dining area and a small fitted kitchen. The lounge has a marble and tiled Victorian fireplace with real flame effect cast iron electric fire, deep-coved ceiling and pine window seat with shutters.

A pine stairway with decorative balustrade rises from the lounge to a bedroom with double bed and an adjoining shower room with washbasin and toilet.

The tasteful conversion of Anna's Cottage, with the retention of many original features, enhanced by the warmth of pine fitments along with comfortable furnishings and tasteful decoration, provides a very good standard of accommodation.
